Gerry's Collection of Antique Wax Seal Stamps

One day, my father told me that he decided to pass down our family's wax seal stamp, the very one shown below, and offer it to me. Needless to say, I was delighted to receive this wonderful piece, a part of our family's history. This gift sparked my enthusiasm for antique wax seal stamps, leading me to start my own collection. Since then, I have acquired many of these ancient objects that carry so much history, from various countries such as France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, or Austria.

I primarily focus on "classic" seal stamps with handles rather than fob seals, though I do own a few wax seal cases as well. My main interest lies in stamps engraved with coats of arms, most of which once belonged to noble families across Europe. However, my collection also includes a few nice pieces from ecclesiastics. What truly draws me to these seals is the combination of a beautifully crafted handle and a beautifully engraved coat of arms. Some pieces stand out for their rarity, others for their unique shapes, and some for their exceptional craftsmanship. Each new addition to my collection is a pleasure to admire. Of course, like any collection, mine includes a few questionable pieces, but I appreciate them all. Thank you for dropping by, I hope you enjoy browsing through my collection!
